All The Signings Of A No-Frills Market Less Than A Month Before Closing

BySam Brad

Aug 13, 2021

This weekend starts a somewhat strange League , marked by the departure of some of the most important players in the history of the competition, and the arrival -or the return- of new assets who will try to put on a show in a season that seems somewhat lack of big stars.

The transfer market is similarly being very decaffeinated, with less than a month to go until the window closes. Alaba, Agüero, Rodrigo de Paul … the men who illustrate this news are perhaps the most representative signings of the big three, in a market without surprises that craves last-minute bombs.

A League in Need of Stars
Not so long ago, all the players in the world wanted to come and play in the Spanish League because the best were always here. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Beckham, Zidane, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi have passed through Spain … and, if we go back further, we cannot ignore Diego Armando Maradona.

Historically, LaLiga has had assets of a very high international level to promote its product, something that has become somewhat lame with the goodbye of figures such as Cristiano Ronado in 2018 or Leo Messi and Sergio Ramos this year.

There are still world-class players in the national competition, such as Hazard or Griezmann to name just two, but they have lost the two best players of the last decade in three years. There is no longer so much difference between the Spanish League and the other big four, with the stars more widely distributed … with the exception, of course, of PSG.

Kylian mbappe
Real Madrid insists with Mbappé for this summer and already has its new offer ready
A player who would undoubtedly give LaLiga a quality leap would be Kylian Mbappé . Everything indicates that the footballer wants to wear the Real Madrid shirt, although it will not be easy to negotiate with Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The French forward is pending to renew his contract with PSG, which expires on June 30, 2022, although the agreement is resisted. Perhaps because, if he does not do so, he could arrive at Real Madrid free for next season.

Barça registers Emerson Royal but is running out of time to incorporate the rest of the signings
One of the big problems that FC Barcelona is facing due to its dramatic financial situation is that it is likely that at the start of LaLiga it will not be able to register its most recent acquisitions to play. A circumstance that would make a season that already starts with several peculiarities even more strange.
