Six Mexican Soldiers Die In A Plane Crash In Veracruz

Six Mexican soldiers die in a plane crash in the state of Veracruz. The aircraft, with the six members of the Mexican Air Force on board, went off the runway and crashed on vacant land, according to official reports.

Six soldiers died this Sunday when they crashed into a Mexican Air Force aircraft in the eastern state of Veracruz, authorities of the country reported.

The events occurred at 9:45 am, local time, in the vicinity of the El Lencero Airport in the municipality of Emiliano Zapata, an area surrounding the city of Xalapa, capital of the state of Veracruz.

Official reports indicate that the Learjet aircraft with registration number 3912, belonging to the Secretariat of National Defense of Mexico (Sedena), went off the runway and crashed on vacant land .

The Learjet caught fire immediately , killing all six of its crew, including the pilot and co-pilot , at the scene. The victims were members of the armed forces.

Members of the Mexican Army, State Police and airport aid personnel went to the accident area, where they tried, unsuccessfully, to rescue the pilots who were trapped in the fire.

After putting out the fire, ministerial personnel entered to pick up the bodies. A plane with 98 people on board crashes in Pakistan.

The Sedena regretted the accident and assured that it will verify that the benefits that by law correspond to its heirs are granted, as well as the necessary support to support them in all their needs during this difficult time.

In a press release, he announced that the Air Accidents Investigating and Judging Commission and the Inspection and Comptroller General of the Army and Air Force will carry out expert reports to determine the causes of the accident.
